Your future is almost as important as what you do today. The only reason today is more important than tomorrow: today impacts the events of tomorrow. Tomorrow doesn't affect today. Everyday, we make monumental decisions that will alter the course of tomorrow.
If this is true, then: How do you make decisions today that tomorrow can benefit from?
I have a fear of heights and the deep water. Why?
Because I know that under me are hundreds to millions of individual thinking minds... Scary thought. I haven't even mentioned the fear of becoming stranded with my two little sisters for company. VERY scary, indeed.
I can deal with being on the lake, though I can't go in the water. I know I can swim. The thought of NOTHING being under me to stop me from drowning is the thought that scares me.
I have never been higher off the ground than I can jump (except for those few times I have jumped off swings). This makes flying even more scary.
As for the land, there are millions of insects under me this very second. The only good thing: I can't fall through the Earth or drown in the dirt.
Stocks are shares of a company. If you own a share, you own a very, very small amount of a company. You are now a shareholder. So, what are your benefits?
You get a dividend every once-in-a-while if your stocks do good. If your stock does bad, you lose money. Here's an example: You buy 10 share of Sunday Umbrella stock for 5$ each. That's 50$. In one year, the price per share drops to 2$. You lost 30$. One year later, you might double your money, or it may lose money, or it may stay the same.
A stock is an investment. It takes money to make money.... And it also takes money to lose money...
In exactly 20 days, it will be Christmas.
2019 years since the birth of Jesus (or as my sister writes it,"Juess"). Such a long time.... My mother recently asked me,"Why do we give gifts to each other and not God?"
The answer is simple. I answered,"Because God can't accept our gifts. He's in heaven, and to accept our gifts, he would have to come to Earth."
Christmas is God's day, his birthday, not our birthday. We need to remember that as Christmas rounds the corner. Have a merry Christmas, everyone.
The year is 2018. Two years from now is 2020. Let's take a look at how important 2020 is as a year. 2020: 1,2,4,5,10,20,101,202,404,505,1010,2020
That was all the years 2020 has a relation to. What it means: 2020 will be the 1st 2020 year, 2nd 1010 yr, 4th 505 yr, 5th 404 yr, 10th 202 yr, 20th 101 yr, 101st 20 yr, 202nd 10 yr, 404th 5 yr, 505th 4 yr, 1010th 2 yr, and 2020th 1 yr.
9999 will be the 99th 101 yr, and 10100 will be the 100th 101 yr. I find that to be quite interesting.
Supply affects demand and demand affects supply. What does this mean? Glad you asked.
Inflation can be bad.
Today, you may store 1$ for a cheap fountain drink at a gas station. Unfortunately, you need to add in inflation. Even if you compensate for a usual tax of 5-10% of what you spend, you still need to account for the future inflation that may happen.
Inflation is caused caused by multiple reasons. Either by demand and supply or accounting for more taxes or any number of other causes, inflation makes what you pay tomorrow higher than what you pay today.
Hello there! You probably don't know me. I'm the son, and I am the only son of the Texoma Family. I have a dog named Murphy. I like math, science, and anything overly complicated. I can tell you how to find "x", though I can't tell you how to cook steak. I have a collection of coins and an old Chinese chest set.
I will tell you as much as I can about these subjects for the rest of the year.
