Tucked away on a busy little road in Denison, Texas is a magical place where nature lovers can slip into their happy place. While browsing through their wide variety of blooming flowers and plants, be careful because you might bump into some chickens. Or a turkey. Or a rabbit. Or even a tortoise.
a hidden gem in texoma
Rustic Gardens isn't a nature center or a park, though it could easily be mistaken for that because of all the beauty. It's actually a nursery that is designed as a quiet getaway for someone who wants to beautify their yard or garden.
They stock freshly grown fruits and vegetables in a section of their interior storefront, which resembles a vintage farmers market. Watermelons are typically on display outside the gardens, luring you in.
Bring the kiddos
The best part of visiting Rustic Gardens is that the kiddos can roam through the winding dirt paths and explore nature's beauty while parents shop. Sometimes I stop by for fresh veggies, and I've purchased an insane amount of plants from them. I also sometimes stop just to browse and let the kids explore. It seems like there should be an entrance fee to even step foot inside. So enjoy wandering around having a blast discovering the gardens. Roam around long enough you definitely won't leave empty handed.
