My kids didn't believe me when I told them they were each going to get $4,000 in cash, but by the end of the day, they really did come home with a bag full of money and huge smiles on their faces.
Here is how that happened...
I was searching for free educational places to take the kids during their school break when I stumbled across the Federal Reserve Bank in Dallas, Texas. That's a good day trip for anyone living in North Texas, and well worth it! This is the place where U.S. currency goes to die, which means that each child gets to take home a bag of cash in the amount of $4,000.
It's shredded cash, but that's part of the fun adventure.
This place is amazing and educational in a unique way. Money isn't a topic that parents are comfortable talking to kids about, but I think it's an important conversation to have on a regular basis.
Here are some tips for making your kids' visit to the place a great memory:

We completely enjoyed our visit to this gem of a museum! It’s awesome that something so unique is right here in our own backyard.
